ABOUT SISTERS IN SHAPE

Sisters in Shape was started with the realization that an everyday woman can have a real life and still be really fit...it just takes education, support and practical approaches to REAL health/fitness & a LASTING lifestyle.

"Our vision is to empower millions of women in their health & fitness....

and in turn these millons of women change the health of the world."

ERICA WILLICK, CO-FOUNDER & COACH

Hi, I’m Erica!  I am a full-time working mom (corporate finance executive) and I am completely into fitness!  In the last 4 years, I had two babies, gained & lost 35 lbs (twice!), got into the best shape of my life, won a North American Pro Bikini Championship (twice!) and became a published fitness model.

Here's (part of) "My Story":

In a crazy (for me) move, I signed up for a bikini competition in the Fall of 2011.  Come on, I'm an accountant & mom!  Yet fitness became the thing that allowed me to push my limits both physically and mentally.  I turned my entire mentality around about myself & what I could accomplish.

Today I still work full-time as a Financial Controller, but my 4 year old son & baby daughter have a mother who loves herself and shows them healthy habits every day.

I feel so grateful for what REAL health & fitness has brought into my life that I started this website and "Sisters In Shape" movement to help other women take back control of their vitality, confidence, and advocate for a positive & healthy self-perception.  I love to teach women SOLUTIONS for to make their everyday life INCREDIBLE!

STEPH LAURENDEAU, COACH

Hello!!!! My name is Stephanie Laurendeau! I love to share all things health and fitness, and aim to teach as many women as possible how to be fit and healthy while STILL loving life.

For as long as I can remember, fitness has been my life.  Over the years I have evolved from Team Sports, to Martial Arts, and now to building a physique in the gym!

Nutrition is extremely important to me, I don't want a nice physique at the expense of my health. I do compete, but that isn't the be all and end all of my goals.

As far as education, I have a personal training certification and a Nutrition Coaching certification through Precision Nutrition. However, don't underestimate the knowledge you gain through trial and error and READING!!! You can't learn what will work best for your body until you try! :)

On a personal note, I am a wife and mother of a 1.5 year old.

My Mantra: DECIDE-COMMIT-SUCCEED

STEPH PUDDICOME, COACH

Hi!  I'm "Steph P" & like all women, I am not just "one thing".

I am an accountant, however, my passion, my drive, and my love is my part time gig as a fitness fanatic and coach. I have a love for female empowerment which goes hand in hand with the fitness world.  I love seeing women feeling empowered and reaching their goals.  I believe knowledge is power.

I am a weight room warrior (definitely not a cardio queen, anyone who knows me would laugh at that concept), and I love seeing the increasing number of women weight room warriors! I love to lift heavy stuff and I think it creates those “toned” bodies that women are constantly seeking. The magic happens in the weight room but don’t get me wrong, a healthy balance of metabolic conditioning, weight training, and mobility work is what will get you optimal results.

I competed in my fitness competition in June, 2013 and won my Pro Card in my first show. I received a Pro card in two divisions (Bikini & Fitness Model).  My first professional show (The North American Championships), I won the Fitness Model category (still seems surreal, it was one of the best moments of my life to date).

I competed in powerlifting in June, 2013 and won my division and also overall best female lifter, I may be small but I’m savage lolI have a second degree black belt in karate, again, small but savage lol

There is nothing more important to me than my little fam jam (hubbs and the doggies)

NIKI BAKLUND, AT HOME GURU & COACH

Hi!  I’m Niki, and I believe in a healthy and balanced lifestyle within the world of fitness.  I crave it and I love it!

But as a very busy wife/mom/business owner, I know for a fact that there can be a difficult juggling act with the precious time we have available for ourselves and for our family.   In the past, this often led to the feeling of having to choose one over the other, often resulting in an overwhelming feeling of guilt, no matter what I chose.

In my quest for health, happiness and balance, I have discovered that it is possible for a woman to kick it just as hard in a home setting as she can in the gym, with great success!!  This has allowed me to make my fitness fit into my own time frame, without sacrificing quality or results and holding tight to my family time – MINUS THE GUILT!!

This has helped reduce stress and offer an example to my family and friends that being fit and healthy IS possible while you are busy!   I love to share fitness (get me started and I could talk for hours!), especially with my son.  I find his new interest in weights, muscles and a little healthy competition to be the greatest reward!

I am excited to be able to offer support for other women to feel the benefits of a great workout in their own homes!

ANDREA BRADLEY

Hi! I'm the other SiSter, Andrea. I am a stay-at-home mom and part-time Group Fitness & Yoga instructor. I have a background in Graphic and Web design.

I, like many women, have had many successes and fails along this fitness journey over the last 10 years. I was 40lbs overweight and extremely unhappy with how I felt about myself. In 2004, my real life sister Erica, introduced me to the gym and inspired me to 'take my life back' one bench press at a time! I loved it so much in 2009 I became a certified fitness instructor. I have trained many women who have in turn, inspired me to keep going. I am very lucky to have a supportive husband and daughter to be there by my side along the way.

I have not done this journey alone. There is power and strength in numbers... We hope to offer support and inspiration to others just as they have done for us!
